Description

Engaging and including women at all levels of economic activity is critical to achieving the priorities of the B20 and G20 and, ultimately, strong, inclusive, sustainable growth.

This event is being held alongside the B20 summit to bring together business leaders from Australia and across the G20 member countries to discuss policy recommendations on the inclusion of women in financing growth, human capital, infrastructure and investment, trade and transparency, and how the Women’s Empowerment Principles can practically guide and support business to this end.

The WEPs, launched in 2010, represent the first global set of practical business principles focused exclusively on empowering, advancing, and investing in women worldwide. Since their launch, the WEPs have been a major catalyst for dialogue and heightened awareness of workplace issues affecting women and the role of companies in ensuring rights and fostering equality for women. To date, over 700 CEOs globally have signaled their support for the WEPs, and engagement continues to grow in the Australian business community.

This event will engage business leaders in this significant, international policy platform, and highlight how business can practically deliver on gender diversity in the workplace, marketplace and community.
We hope you will join us.
